DLD Group is proud to announce the successful deployment of five Identa Totems in North Macedonia, marking a significant milestone in our regional expansion and reinforcing our position as a leader in public-facing smart technology solutions across the Balkans.
Earlier this year, our team finalized an exciting collaboration with a forward-thinking municipal client in North Macedonia. The goal was to enhance public accessibility, digital service delivery, and urban navigation in key areas of the city. Through this partnership, five of our Identa smart totems have now been fully integrated into urban infrastructure. These totems support both local citizens and tourists with real-time information, touch-based interaction, and contactless service options.
The Identa Totem is more than just a kiosk. It serves as a multifunctional urban assistant, specifically designed for smart cities, transport hubs, public administration, and event spaces. The Identa platform offers:
Interactive touchscreen interfaces
Integrated QR/NFC/RFID scanning for ID and ticketing
Optional thermal printers for on-demand documentation
Multilingual support
Solar-powered or grid-powered configuration options
Durable, all-weather casing for outdoor use
Live analytics and remote device management
Macedonian officials selected Identa for its flexibility, modern design, and its ability to digitize services without requiring extensive infrastructure changes. Each totem was customized to reflect local branding and service requirements.
Within just a few weeks of deployment, the impact has already been measurable:
A 22% reduction in physical queues at the municipal office
Over 4,000 digital interactions recorded in the first month
Increased visibility for tourism services in Ohrid through interactive campaigns
Ongoing integration with local apps and databases to further expand functionality
This rollout was made possible thanks to close cooperation between local IT partners and municipal authorities. Together, we ensured that the installation was both technically seamless and culturally appropriate. DLD also conducted training sessions for city employees to manage maintenance and content updates, ensuring long-term performance and ease of use.
We are currently in active discussions with additional cities in the region, where there is growing demand for smart city infrastructure and digital public service platforms. Insights gained from this initial Macedonian deployment will help shape future improvements and local integrations.
As digital transformation becomes a higher priority for municipalities across Europe, the Identa Totem continues to represent progress, accessibility, and innovation. Whether for urban modernization, citizen self-service, or tourism enhancement, Identa delivers real results. Our success in North Macedonia is a strong testament to that.
